The Board of Directors at Particip8 CIC collectively bring massive experience from the worlds of business, charity, finance, training and mentoring. The members of the board have been carefully selected to deliver considered skills and experiences to the Company ensuring a well balanced and professional management team to lead Particip8 CIC forward.

Chris Maddox - Director

As founding Director, Chris’ vision for Particip8 is clearly defined within the Companies strategy and business mission statement.

Having over 25 years commercial business experience, Chris leads the business from the front and is often found facilitating sessions or training others to do so.

A passionate sportsman Chris has representative honours across many different sports and has coached and played at the highest levels.

In his spare time Chris will be found somewhere near a basketball court either as a player, coach, referee or a frustrated spectator. or call 07900 607280

Ross Alexander - Director

For over 15 years Ross has been working within the sports and leisure industries.

With experience gained in sports and community development, youth services, coaching and mentoring, Ross has been in great demand across the public, private and charitable sectors.

His role at Particip8 will see Ross controlling the operational and funding activities, whilst using his vast network of contacts to ensure first class coaching and performance levels are constantly delivered.

Mike Maddox - Director

Having sold the family business in 1993, Mike retired from the post of CEO Eagle Ottawa Group Europe and South Africa along with the international automotive interiors business four years later at the age of 50.

Since then he has been involved at senior level with various bodies including committee activities at The Society of Automotive Engineers, Director of Kenilworth Golf Club and for the past fourteen years has been running The Warwickshire Basketball Association.

He is also a founder and General Secretary of Coventry Trojans Basketball Club, where he plays, officiates and runs the administration for one of the Midlands’ biggest basketball clubs, boasting over one hundred members.

Nathan Blundell - Business Development Co-ordinator

Nathan has been involved in the sports industry as a volunteer and professional for over 15 years. Starting as an athletics coach then progressing onto roles with the county sports partnership and local authorities.

Nathan has experience in working with a variety of partners and specialises in business development, event management and sports coaching.

When not working Nathan enjoys spending time at the gym, and socialising with friends.

Jason Longden - Project Co-ordinator

Having completed his degree in exercise, nutrition and health at Coventry University, Jason joins the team in a new role as Project Co-ordinator. Jason has worked as a sports coach and swimming instructor delivering a multitude of sports and activities in schools and leisure centres across Coventry.

Passionate about school coaching, Jason brings considerable experience from both primary and secondary school environments.

Jason is a passionate musician and can play a wide variety of instruments and if not performing will often be found in his local gym working out.

Alex Banfield - Staff Coach

At nearly 7 feet tall, Alex is our gentle giant. He joined the company as staff coach in October 2016 and can be seen delivering our community and school sessions across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Alex is comfortable working with all age groups and is keen to develop basic sports fundamentals in all of our participants. He has a strong belief in inclusion and actively engages with our more vulnerable clients.

Tricia Wood - Trustee

For many years Tricia has been heavily involved with Social Enterprise, Charitable and Not for Profit Organisations. In a wide range of positions (employed and voluntary), Tricia has helped actively improve the lives of many members of our vulnerable communities.

Her expertise lies within the Mental Health sector, where she boasts a considerable wealth of knowledge and experiences that will be of huge value to the Particip8 board.

In her personal time Tricia is currently a Parent Governor at Queen Elizabeth School and Sports College and a Welfare Officer for the Nuneaton branch of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Association.

Sarah Bright - Trustee

Having taught music in primary and secondary schools across Warwickshire and Leicestershire for over 27 years, Sarah brings a massive wealth of experience and knowledge to the Particip8 board.

As a musical director for over 28 shows on behalf of Concordia AOS, Sarah has established a reputation as a hardworking, professional with the highest standards.

Sarah can play a multitude of instruments and has performed to audiences around the world.

When not teaching, coaching or mentoring, Sarah spends her free-time with daughter Daisy in sunny Leicestershire.
